Thanks to all who came up for Saturday's Pedal for Paws, despite misty weather and lots of other options (Athens Half Marathon and the BRAG tuneup, most notably).
Come join us on Saturday, May 16th to celebrate the life of Al Pless, who devoted much of his life to supporting the Athens Land Trust, and who was a passionate cyclist. Show your support for Al and the Land Trust, while riding 61 or 41 beautiful miles through Clarke County, Apple Valley and beyond. All routes depart at 9 a.m. from the Williams Farm (an Athens Land Trust property), and are fully sagged and supported. There is ample parking for all at the start. At the end of the ride, all participants are invited to join us for a celebration party with food, drinks, and a performance by Red Oak Southern String Band at the Williams Farm.
If you're one of the dozen or so folks I contacted last week to remind you that sag coordinator Amy Kissane still needs vital info - like where you're staying and how you're getting home - PLEASE contact her now, if you haven't already, to make sure we have what we need to make this a great event for you.
And please join us for all of these great events:
