Our 2015 Teardrop Century Ride was a great success, with 150 riders showing up and, even more important, raising approximately $10,000 for the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Athens. These funds will keep our guest families housed and fed for one month, with their children safely settled in daycare or school, while they work on moving from homelessness to sustainable independence. Heartfelt thanks to all of our riders, sponsors, volunteers, drivers, and IHNA Board and staff - all of you made our event happen!
If you would like to get one of those beautiful Teardrop kits - jerseys and bibs - you saw at Saturday's ride, we still have a number of items left:
- 2015 Jerseys - $80
- 2015 Bibs - $100
- 2014 Jerseys - $40
All proceeds from these sales go directly to Interfaith Hospitality to help them continue their work with homeless families with children in Athens and Northeast Georgia. Contact me to inquire about sizes, or to order.
Looking ahead, this coming weekend offers a brand new Nitty Gritty ride - "Infinity, Ltd.," a 51-mile loop starting from North Oconee High School. See the ride page for more details. Gravel grinders, there is a Lake Russell ride planned for Sunday. Stay tuned for more details.
